June 2011 4’ x 3’ x 2’ The initial form was started with some found wire from a building site, I bulked it out with wallpaper, old pieces of work T shirts and tape. It was very flexible at this stage and i hung it at the window in the studio. The final form was stiffened using Fibreglass, though is still quite flexible. The surface is of dust created by smashing up rocks from the beach its self. It gives the appearance of having been dug up or coming from the sea covered in rust. This piece again represents my journey in 2011 and is an interesting open form. I used the roof of my van for the plinth and am considering continuing to photograph the sculpture at various locations. The final piece was exhibited in the CMR inaugaral exhibition 'If Not Now When', March 2012. |

About CMR
__CMR is an artist-led
initiative designed to create a community of artists who will exhibit
and flourish within this three storey building. It is a voluntary-run organisation and project. We aim to be all
inclusive; we aim to encourage adventurous work that will respond and
challenge not only to CMR’s various spaces but also the broader
Contemporary Art landscape of Cornwall.
